Phil Hager grew up in Boston dabbling in the auto mechanic field after high school, until he realized he needed a change. He then made his way to San Francisco, a city he finds great pleasure in exploring on the weekends. Through a family friend, Phil began working part time inspecting shirts, which grew into a full-time gig as manager of the laundry for 18 years. A desire to work one-on-one with customers led him to exclusively focus on the Tiburon store. He has since established a Couture Care route, which bridges the gap between fashion retailers and the dry cleaning business. In his free time, Phil enjoys gardening, restoring classic cars and playing with his dog, Nelson.

Jose Chong, North Route

Jose Chong, 34-years-old, was born in Peru. He currently resides in Greenbrae with his wife and five-year-old son. Jose has been a delivery driver for 10 years now and enjoys building relationships with his customers. "I love getting to know more people and meeting the needs of the customers," says Jose. When not at work, his biggest passion is playing soccer and watching his favorite team play. His other hobbies include fishing and camping in West Marin.

Song Kem, Valley Route

Song Kem, 43-years-old, has been a Marin Cleaners employee for almost 15 years. He began working in the production department in 1987 as a dryclean spotter and finisher. He left for a few years to pursue his own drycleaning business where he gained a great deal of respect in his field. Three years ago he returned to become a delivery driver as well as our Couture Care Specialist. He spends his spare time with his wife, Thavy (a former Marin Cleaners employee) and his two boys, with which he enjoys playing at the park and reading to them every night.

Ron Childs, Golden Gate Route

Ron Childs has been a driver for Marin Cleaners for almost 30 years. He loves having the freedom to drive around the Bay Area and essentially "be his own boss." This sense of independence carries over into his personal life where he explores the great outdoors with such love and devotion. He lives with his wife Helen in Petaluma but they're never at home for very long. Together they enjoy writing short stories for kids, as well as sharing adventures together, camping all throughout Northern California and Yosemite with their RV. He's also an avid fisherman, boater, hiker and photographer of nature.
